Name: Brisbane General Post
Location: Queen and Elizabeth Streets, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

The Brisbane GPO is a complex of five interconnected buildings included on the Commonwealth Heritage List located in the Brisbane CBD. Primarily built over the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, the complex includes the old General Post Office, the old Electric Telegraph Office, the original Parcel Post Building, the Operations Building and the old Telegraph Stores.

In 2008, the firm prepared a Conservation Management Plan (CMP) for the place in order to inform the heritage aspects of Australia Post’s plans for the future use of the building, including taking into consideration possible additions and alterations in order to relocate all of Australia Post’s administrative functions to this central location.  This was followed, in 2016, by the preparation of a new, updated Heritage Management Plan (HMP) to meet the requirements of the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) and to provide appropriate policies for the possible adaptive reuse of some of the buildings within the complex.
